Gold Rush
Dear Erisians,
Early reports indicate that gold has been found, concentrated in the northern part of Red Caye. A small mining operation is underway, but control of this operation is in flux. Whoever has the means can control this area and enrich themselves in the process.
Where can I find the Gold Mine and how do I capture it once I find it?
Search the northern peninsula of Red Caye, it’s reported to be on the side of a mountain facing the sea.
Control of the mine rests entirely on the player who is currently in control of the workers. Workers are NPCs that can be contracted from the Innkeeper in the village and placed at the Gold Mine. If another player is currently mining, you must dispose of their worker before you can employ your own.
What happens once I put my worker in the mine? Do I get gold while offline?
Every ten minutes gold will automatically be deposited into your inventory if you are online, if you are offline, you will need to purchase a shed which will store your gold generated while offline.
A shed can be purchased from the Innkeeper in town, the shed must be attached to a Cottage in order to be placed into the world.
What’s the plan for the next update?
For the next update we will be concentrating on refining and polishing various character statistics and how they effect gameplay. We will also be working on rolling out the profession system, which will allow players to promote to advanced classes.
