Guilds & Quests
Dear Erisians,
In this update, we heavily focused on the performance aspect of the game and as a result, you should notice a significant decrease in the initial loading time of the game world. There should also be less out of memory related errors, due to better unloading of unused assets. The optimizations are far from complete, but it’s moving in the right direction.
Overall, the difficulty of the game with regards to defeating monsters has been lowered. We’ve noticed a lot of players struggling to understand the game and we’ve felt that it’s better to ramp up the difficulty over time to better accommodate players unfamiliar with the genre. Since we’re mainly interested in creating a PvP game, PvE balance is not really a major concern.
Guilds
The guild system has been added to the game. To start your own guild, you need to talk to Arne the Banker in the village of Red Caye, enter your guild name in the provided dialog box and have at least 100 gold on your character. Each guild can contain up to 50 members and your guild name will be displayed under your character’s name.
In the future, guilds will be able to control entire player built cities and will be the main path of progression in the game. For now, however, we’ve just added a basic guild system so you can form your guild and begin recruiting members for when these features become available.

Quests
Quests have been added to the game. There are two types of quests, one is to kill X amount of monsters and the other is to gather X amount of items. The quests will give you a continual stream of tasks to complete to make leveling up a bit more interesting.
To begin a quest, find a NPC with a question mark (?) above their head and accept the quest they give you. When finished, return to the NPC to complete the quest and receive your reward. You’ll be able to tell the quest is ready to be turned in because the NPC will have an exclamation point (!) above their head.
We hope to add much more interesting dialog to the NPCs and more variations of quests, and this will likely be a point of focus for us in the near future.

Updates
Character Creation
The blog posts on Character Creation and Archetype & Traits have been completely re-written to provide additional information about the character creation process. We’ve also created a video overview of the character creation process, to help you understand the choices available to you.
Additional Slots
As a reward to players reading and participating in discussions on the forum, we are unlocking more character slots based on your trust level on the forum. The first trust level can be obtained simply by reading some posts, the second and third trust levels are unlocked based on continually visiting and interacting on the forum.
Lore
We’ve added a lot of new lore to the game, which you can read by visiting the Races, Classes and World pages on our website.
Chat
The forum’s chat system has been enabled, and it’s being populated with events happening in the game. You’ll now be able to see who is entering the game, leveling up as well as player killing and death messages. You can also just use it to chat with anyone online of course.
AI Navigation
Player characters will automatically try to path to their target upon skill selection provided the target is visible. This option can be disabled in settings if you prefer manual control at all times.
Unstuck
A new option in settings will allow you to kill your player character and respawn back in the village of Red Caye once every 5 minutes. This can be used if you happen to get lost or stuck.
