Creating an Identity: Who Will You Be?
Before diving into combat roles and stats, you’ll define your character’s name and personal identity—the things that make them feel alive in the world of Eris Online.
Name Selection
First Name: This must be unique across all players. It’s how others will know and remember you, so choose something memorable, fitting, or thematic. This is your main name, and once set, it can’t be changed—so think it through!
Last Name: This one’s optional and doesn’t need to be unique. Use it to add flavor to your character’s backstory—maybe it hints at a noble bloodline, a lost tribe, or a guild affiliation.
Gender Selection
Currently Available: Only Ithacan and Hierax can select gender at this stage.
This choice is cosmetic only and has no effect on gameplay, attributes, or character progression.
Character Race: Choose Your Lineage
Race is one of the most important choices during character creation. It defines your base attributes, available archetypes, and even which traits you can choose from.
Each race offers a distinct playstyle, strengths, and restrictions, encouraging you to experiment and replay the game from different perspectives.
Available Races (So Far)
Ithacan
A well-rounded and adaptable race. Ithacan have balanced attributes across the board, making them a great choice for new players or those who want maximum flexibility.
Can access all four archetypes: Fighter, Healer, Mage, and Rogue.
Good option for hybrid builds and experimentation.
Minotaur
Powerful, tough, and built for physical combat. Minotaurs have high Strength and Endurance, giving them great survivability and damage output in melee situations.
Restricted archetypes: Can only become Fighters or Healers.
Perfect for players who want to dominate the battlefield with brute force or play as a hardy frontline support.
Hierax
The Hierax are solitary predators by nature. While intelligent and cunning, their social bonds are fragile and self-serving. They form alliances only when convenient and are quick to betray even their own kind if it means gaining the upper hand.
Can access all four archetypes: Fighter, Healer, Mage, and Rogue.
Agile, tactical, and dangerous. Perfect for players who enjoy fast, aggressive, or opportunistic combat styles.
Human
A well-rounded and adaptable race. Humans have balanced attributes across the board, making them a great choice for new players or those who want maximum flexibility.
Can access all four archetypes: Fighter, Healer, Mage, and Rogue.
Good option for hybrid builds and experimentation.
We have 10 total races planned, including several non-traditional and original fantasy races you won’t find in most MMOs. Some will offer unique racial abilities, unusual stat distributions, and exclusive trait options.
